Powering the Snapdragon variant of the Redmi Note 5 will be the latest Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 2.0 Ghz.
The MediaTek variant will feature the latest MediaTek Helio x25 Deca-core processor clocked at a higher 2.1 GHz.
But the GPU is still a mystery for the time being.
Coupled with 3 or 4GB of RAM, both the devices will be able to handle even the demanding tasks with ease.
On the storage part, there will be two variants, the basic 32GB model, and the premium 64GB model, though both the models will feature a Hybrid Sim/SD card slot which you can use to expand your memory to a whopping 256GB using a micro SD card.
The phone will feature a similar 5.5 inch full HD screen, but this time the screen will be protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
The phone will have a F/2.0 16MP CMOS camera on the back, and the front will feature a 6MP camera for selfies and video calling purpose.
The device will feature a massive 4100 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0, which will charge your device fully in less than 100 mins.
Xiaomi will launch the device with Android Nougat 7.1 out of the box with MIUI 9 on top.
The device will be eligible for official Android 8.0 update as well.
